Mr. Denning has been serving Mount Olive and the surrounding areas for 50 years and finances many of his own accountsl The company is family run with traditional values. Annie Sue & their 3 daughters help to oversee operations. You can always find a smile at Bobby Dennings. Born in 1938 with muscular dystrophy, Bobby Denning educated himself through extensive reading and assistance from family members when wheelchair confinement forced him out of public school. At 13, he enrolled in a correspondence course from the National Radio Institute of Chicago, and began repairing radios for friends. By age 21, Mr. Denning was retailing furniture as well as radios and televisions in a 20-foot by 40-foot brick and block facility in his parents’ yard. Since then Mr. Denning has updated his managerial and technical skills through courses at Wayne Community College and the University of South Carolina. He remains very active in the community.
Mr. Denning has steadily increased his holdings over the years. A partial list of his current holdings & accomplishments include two shopping centers & the new Denning Industrial Park.
